Apple iPad vs iPad 2

featured on (techweet.com)

We thought we would cram everything into one article here to talk about the Apple iPad, the iPad 2, the new commercial ad featuring iOS 4.2 features and we decided to add iPad 2 and BB PlayBook going head-to-head with its release dates.

Lets talk about the new iPad commercial ad that we found via 9to5Mac, it covers all the new iOS 4.2 (4.2.1) features, the new video is titled “iPad is Amazing” and it shows you Pages Printing, AirPlay and MultiTasking.
What we would love to know is why Apple left out the folders in the video; it showed a few apps and not much else we did not know already. Please do watch the video below provided by YouTube.
The next question we would love to ask you is “Would you buy the current Apple iPad or will you wait for the new iPad 2 that is releasing next year?” please do scroll down to the comments area below and let us know what you would choose.

Now we found something very interesting indeed via T3, which covers the new iPad 2 and the BB PlayBook going head-to-head. Apparently the two new devices will launch at around about the same time, it seems that if sources are correct that the BlackBerry PlayBook and the Apple iPad 2 will arrive within days of each other sometime in April or May of 2011.

Why you ponder on the above information please do let us know what you think, will you wait for the iPad 2 or buy the current iPad? Do you think Apple and RIM will release its new tablets at near enough the same timeframe? What features would you like to see on the new iPad 2?

Apple Unveil New Girlfriend App. For Iphone

nullApple have today unveiled the new 'Girlfriend App." for the iPhone, claiming that it is "a huge leap forward in our bid to control the minds of every human being on Earth." In a conscious bid to move away from apps. that allow people to have fake lightsabre fights, make fake toast and pretend to eat it, drink imaginary pints of beer and fire imaginary shotguns, the app. will actually have a degree of involvement in real life, and is available for immediate download. It is, however, aimed specifically at the female market, or more specifically women who are currently in a steady (or unsteady) relationship with a man.

When the app. has been purchased and downloaded onto the iPhone it prompts the owner to nominate a name and number from the contacts list as their boyfriend. When this number has been selected the app. sets about three immediate tasks. Firstly, it hacks into the facebook and email accounts of the boyfriend, stealing his passwords so that the girlfriend can innocently monitor and twist innocuous correspondence with other females, and continue to do so on a half hourly basis. Secondly, the app. sets the boyfriends mobile phone background as a picture of the girlfriend. The picture is chosen by the girlfriend so as to pick out one that flatters her and doesn't show off her double chin. The third act carried out by the app., once the 'Intrusion Stage' is complete, is to automatically send a text to the boyfriend asking "What are you thinking? xxx" Regardless of anything else that happens, this text will be sent at half hour intervals from this point on until the relationship ends.
null
Other aspects of the app. include an inbox monitor. If no text from the boyfriend's number is received at least every hour the app. automatically sends him a text saying "We need to talk..." If no reply to this text is received within five minutes, a follow text of "I can't believe you're doing this to me you fuck!" is then sent out. Then, heaven forbid, a reply is still not forthcoming inside of a further two minutes, the app. simply wipes the boyfriend's phone of all contact numbers, saved messages and photos. The sim card is also melted and the relationship is over.

A loving boyfriend would not allow to this happen, naturally, and in happier times the app. will automatically send the boyfriend a text a month before the girlfriend's birthday saying "You don't have to get me much this year" followed by a web link to www.linksoflondon.com. No reply to this text is necessary.

And finally, if the boyfriend happens to send the girlfriend a text with no kisses on the end, the app. will immediately send a reply saying "Why didn't you put any kisses on that text? Are you cheating on me?" If no response is received inside of five minutes then text after text of foul and abusive language and phone call after phone will bombard the boyfriend, until he can explain that it was just an accident.

So, ladies, if you want to step up the intensity of your love and prove just how domineering or distrustful you really are, then there is an app. for that. There's an app. for everything.

Ipad hidden features

iPad is a bombshell. There’s so much in it that it could take some serious time spent with it before one can actually use its full capacity. Here’s a quick view of some of little known features this multifunctioning device has.

Built-In Dictionary It’s a no-brainer that a device that has superb features for e-reading is also backed with a decent built-in dictionary. Both the word processor and the iBooks application has dictionary for quick reference to words that you may find vague. Apple is also thoughtful enough to include a quick search of the eBooks using a keyword, just as you would do with a website. As if this is not enough, it is also easy to get quick access to online dictionaries via Safari, so it really isn’t a big deal if some unfamiliar words make you stammer while you read Apple’s massive collection of eBooks.

Auto-Adjusted Screen Brightness The developers of iPad went so far as program the device to adjust its brightness according to specific environments to make eye strain less of an issue for users. This is particularly important for people who frequently use the device in different lighting conditions.

Don’t wish for perfection though. Despite the brilliant design and programming that went into the creation of the product, it still has some limitations. Text and images look washed under direct sunlight, for one.

Home Screen Bookmarking The home screen, is without a doubt among the most versatile features of the device. Aside from allowing the display of the shortcuts to specific applications, iPad’s Home Screen also displays your bookmarked websites. For the end users, this means that you can go straight to your favorite websites with just one touch of the bookmarked websites icon.

Browser Dashboard Forget tabbed browser, iPad’s Safari offers users a different view of opened ‘tabs’. Like the tabbed view we get from laptop or desktop browsers, the dashboard view allows the opening of multiple web pages, only with iPad’s Safari, the web pages are shown as thumbnail images of all opened sites. This allows for easy switching between websites. All it needs is a single tap.

Smart Links Mailing is more convenient with iPad. The device is programmed to recognize address, names, numbers and link these to relevant information. This function benefits users by cutting short the time spent on searching online or in the device’s storage for information relevant to the inquiry. For example, when addresses are tapped, maps and directions show up on the screen. When a name or a telephone number is tapped, the entire information on the contact list is revealed.

Slideshow Soundtracks We’re done with boring, quiet slideshows. Apple’s iPad brings forth the option of integrating music and sounds into its slideshow app. Now, that’s a good way of jazzing up any presentation you create using Keynote.

Background Music And you thought only slideshows can have a background music…Even while you are searching the web or playing any of Apple’s apps, you can have music continuously playing on the background.

IPhone 4 Accessories You May Need

Many individuals have gotten excited by the iPhone 4’s recent release. With all the new features available, it seems everyone’s anxious to get their hands on one of these phones and see just what they can do. Apple itself is undoubtedly the party most concerned with the success of the iPhone’s launch. But there are also those who make the accessories for the iPhone 4 who need to be watching the release carefully.

You already know you are going to need to buy some accessories for your new phone. One of these accessories that you should buy is a screen film to protect the sensitive touch screen. These vulnerable features, now standard on most electronics, can be scratched as easily as sliding your device into your pocket. Simply scratching the screen could cause your phone to work improperly, which could cause a lot of frustration on your end. Thus, every iPhone 4 should have its own screen film.

On the other hand, you may need a Bluetooth headset if you are going to use iPhone 4. Media reports have documented the fact that this device has encountered some call reception issues. When the bars of the phone frame are touched, the signal weakens, which results in a lesser ability to receive phone calls; if the Bluetooth headset is used, the need to touch the phone will be reduced. Therefore, chatting on the iPhone 4 would become much more convenient.

Other available iPhone accessory items include the Griffin GB001714 Elan Wallet Perforated iPhone 4 and the Dexim DCA192 Dock for iPhone 4 3GS iPod. One of the best screen protectors available is made by Zagg, a company specifically known for creating top notch screen protectors for phones. You will have no problem finding accessories including the Zagg InvisibleShield Full Body for iPhone 4.

Since the phones of this series are fragile, people are always advised to buy a case to protect the phone. And for this latest product of the series, customers are also advised to do the same thing. Yes, they should buy a case to protect the fragile device. When shopping for a case, make sure it has good shock absorption to prevent your phone from being damaged, should you drop it.

In fact, some of the necessary iPhone 4 accessories would be provided by Apple along with the package that you purchase. However, it is possible to purchase upgraded version of those basic accessories, which you are likely to find are well worth the extra expense.

Iphone Solar Power Charger??

Don’t they claim that the gadget is only as good as the components you bestow upon it? Well, ok, so they don’t exactly say that but I think we can all agree that when you have an excellent device, for example the Iphone or Ipod, you really require the right accessories to get the most from your gadget.

The beauty of these devices is that you use them on the go so you need to be able to charge them on the go too. That is where the iphone solar power charger comes in handy. The charger converts sunlight into power, which is stored in the inner lithium battery, allowing you to charge your phone whenever and wherever you need to.

The iphone solar power charger offers an ideal backup power when you find yourself out walking or hiking and can’t get access to an electric socket to plug your iphone or ipod in.

If you wish to take your music along with you on the journey to your workplace or to keep your kids amused on holiday, then the ipod car kit is really a must-have accessory. With the 3-in-1 car kit you have a transmitter, charger and holder in one, meaning you just have to spend money on one device.

By using a car kit you not only make sure that you maximise the usefulness of your device but you also ensure you stay safe whilst driving as the kit allows you to make hands-free calls through your car speaker system.

Gadgets and devices like mobile phone handsets and Mp3’s exist to make our way of life easier and more enjoyable but if we want to get the most from them we need to invest in the peripherals and accessories that will maximize the mobility, productivity and functionality of these devices and where better place to start making these enhancements than with the iphone solar power charger or ipod car kit

Malicious iPhone Virus Takes Control of Your Phone

This one is a little more serious than Rick Rolling

About a month ago there was an iPhone worm that changed the user's wallpaper to Rick Astley. The Australian student behind that little piece of malware said the software did nothing else and those affected by it could un-Rick their phone very easily. Ashley Towns said that his sole intention was to highlight how easy it is for attackers to gain access to your phone if you haven't taken the proper steps to protect yourself.

Fast forward just a few weeks and we have a malicious iPhone worm that can steal data and even take control of the phone, acting like a botnet. Similar to the Rick Rolling worm, this virus also targets jailbroken iPhones with an SSH password that were never changed from the default to something more secure.

According to Symantec's John McDonald, the virus can steal data contained on the iPhone as well as connect back to the attacker giving them control over the phone including the ability to download and install malware onto it. McDonald says the root password may also be changed in order to prevent the owner from accessing the device and adds that this worm appears to cover a broader range of IP addresses than the Rick Rolling worm. "The first iPhone worm, this one appears to cover a much broader range of IP addresses, including UPC in the Netherlands, Optus in Australia, possibly a Hungarian and a Portuguese provider, T-Mobile and potentially many others."

iPhone 4 Fix: Many Questions Left Unanswered

iPhone 4 Fix: Many Questions Left Unanswered

While Apple’s press conference is a step in the right direction, there are a lot of loose ends to the iPhone 4 saga. (Ginny Mies)

Today's Apple press conference was a strange mix of finger pointing, random sales figures and statistics and--surprise!--some actual accountability and solutions for the iPhone 4's antenna woes. At the end of the conference, Apple CEO Steve Jobs finally offered disgruntled iPhone 4 owners a solution: All owners will get a free bumper case-at least through September 30. But, as both a consumer (and an iPhone 4 owner) and journalist, I feel very conflicted about the outcome of the conference. Free bumpers is a step in the right direction, but this saga still has some very loose ends. I'm left with more questions than answers.

Antennagate: Is it really just a myth?

After a long-winded spiel about the universal antenna problem within the cell phone industry, the iPhone 4's successful sales records, and the low number of antenna-related AppleCare complaints, it felt like "Antennagate" was something dreamed up by the press. I wish all of the dropped calls I've experienced were just a dream. And you can be certain that the personal iPhone 4 hell my colleague Melissa Perenson experienced with her three units (she's on her fourth handset now) was not just a figment of her imagination.
According to Jobs, Apple tested other smartphones--the BlackBerry Bold 9700, the HTC Droid Eris ad the Samsung Omnia II--and found that the phones' signal strength deteriorates when held in that special way. I would like to see some third-party testing-not Apple's testing--on this subject matter. If this is an industry-wide problem, why is it just coming to a head now?
One reason could, simply put, be the scale of the iPhone 4's sales. I can assure you that none of the phones Apple tested sold three million units in three weeks.

Free Bumpers: A Clumsy Cure?
When I first purchased the phone, I didn't experience any of the reception issues others were writing about. I was actually quite pleased with the phone's improved voice quality. The phone also did quite well in our data speed tests, which I praised in my original review of the phone. It wasn't until I was actually living with the phone that I began experiencing the antenna issues. Most of it came from how I was holding the phone-not where I was located when I was making the call. I waited on purchasing a bumper because I suspected that Apple would do something like this as the antenna-related complaints escalated. Call it trivial, but I don't really like the idea of being forced to wrap my shiny new toy in a not-so-pretty rubber casing. Sure, Jobs said consumers would have some choice (Apple's model as well as some third-party vendors' models), but what if that choice is between neon green and neon orange? It has been said before, but it really does feel like a clunky fix.

Why September 30?

Jobs said that Apple will provide the free iPhone 4 case to customers to everyone who has purchased a phone through September 30. Why the cut-off date? Jobs gave a cryptic answer: "We are going to wait and see, maybe we'll have a better idea. It's just a chance to say we'll reevaluate it in September."
The deadline strikes me as odd. Why wouldn't an iPhone 4 after September require a case to solve this established problem? Does this mean Apple will be giving customers who purchase the phone after September 30 a new hardware design that features a stealth fix? If so, this is incredibly unfair to customers who bought the phone at launch, and are then stuck using a phone with faulty hardware.

What About the Proximity Sensor?

I had a moment of panic during the press conference when I thought that Jobs wasn't going to bring up the iPhone 4's faulty proximity sensor. This issue has been overshadowed in the media by the antenna issue, but for me, personally, it is my biggest problem with the phone. On six different occasions, I have pulled up Gmail and began an e-mail to a job that I applied to three years ago. Only once did it actually send. Worst nightmare, much? How in the world could this happen? In other instances, I've hung up on various people with my cheek and started FaceTime.
Jobs did indeed acknowledge the buggy proximity sensor and said that the company will "try" and get it fixed them in the next software update. Hm, that's not very reassuring considering Jobs also did not mention when that update will happen. How many other accidental e-mails am I going to send between now and then?

Is a 30-Day Return Period Enough?
Right now, I'm still not sure whether I want to keep or ditch my iPhone 4. There are a lot of things I love about it: the camera, the display, the app ecosystem and the user interface. But if I can't make a simple phone call without it being dropped or sending out accidental e-mails, there's a major problem. I think Apple should have extended the return period to at least 60 days so people can give the bumpers a shot and allow enough time for the proximity sensor fix. 30 days just isn't enough time for a consumer to make this kind of decision--waiving the restocking fee or not

Ipad 2 Details

There’s a perpetual buzz of Apple rumours and while many of them are clearly only a fine line away from slanderous nonsense, just occasionally one or two turn out to be the truth and the most recent and widely reverberating buzz of rumour has been about the apparently upcoming release of both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 5 and while the former makes sense the latter seems little more than a rehashed version of a pre-iPhone 4 rumour.
One of the greatest flaws of the iPad was that it was lacking a USB port, which is considered standard on just about everything from your car stereo to your kettle nowadays (we will find a kettle that connects to the Internet and requires a USB port one day – if you see one let us know).

There are, in our opinion, a few problems with the iPad – its astronomical price, the fact it does very little compared to your average smartphone, the lack of proper Adobe support, and the lack of a USB port. At least one of these is due to be fixed for the second incarnation of the touch-screen tablet that started its own trend.
Apparently, this is considered a fairly major fix by others too and Apple will be releasing the iPad 2 earlier than the iPhone 5 for this reason.
On the subject of the iPhone 5, rumours are that Apple are ready to jump out of bed with AT&T in the US and straight into bed with Verizon. Probably won’t mean all that much to us in the UK but you should probably expect similar features, similar prices, and similar carriers should the next iPhone be arriving soon as promised by people who aren’t really in the know but like to pretend they are.

Iphone 5 - Truth or myth?

iPhone 5 rumours: what you need to know
- source "techradar.com"

iPhone 5 (or the iPhone 5G, as some are calling it) rumours are flying thick and fast already. Will there be a rush release to erase memories of the iPhone 4's antenna problems?
Will the 5th generation iPhone deliver ultra-fast mobile internet? Will it ever end up on Verizon in the US?
Let's discover what the rumour mill has to say, and which iPhone 5 rumours are the most convincing.

The iPhone 5 release date will be in the summer…
Apple's established a rhythm with iPhone releases, with new models appearing in late June or early July each year. It's a safe bet that the iPhone 5 release date will also be late June or early July.
…or maybe the iPhone 5 release date will be earlier
iLounge says its source reckons Apple will push the iPhone 5 released date forwards - possibly to January 2011 - because of the iPhone 4 antenna problems, although iLounge itself says the claim is "hard to believe". It's unclear whether such a rush release would be an iPhone 4 with a different antenna or something more substantial.
The iPhone 5 specs may include a digital wallet
There's been some speculation that Apple might include Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in the iPhone 5, turning it into a kind of credit/debit card.

The iPhone 5 price won't change

If the iPhone 5 is an evolutionary step like the move from the iPhone 3 to the iPhone 3GS - and we think it will be - then we'd expect the price to stay more or less the same, although in the UK it might increase slightly due to January's VAT rise.

Samsung Galaxy S vs iPhone 4

Samsung Galaxy S vs iPhone 4
William Littlefield (knowyourmobile.com)

Can the Galaxy possibly conquer the iPhone 4? We take a look at which phone is the better value

Published on Jun 22, 2010

Samsung has been providing quite a few top-class handsets recently, covering Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile and its own Bada platforms.
The Samsung Galaxy S promises a lot - taking the competent Galaxy and making it faster with a stunning screen.

However, Apple has its new competitor on the block in the form of the iPhone 4.
Can the Galaxy shoot the iPhone 4 off into space?

Screen:

The Samsung Galaxy S features a 4-inch, 480x800 pixel super-AMOLED color screen.

It's massive and sharp and we'd say it's the best feature of the Samsung Galaxy S, and probably the best smartphone screen out there.
However, the iPhone 4's 640x960 pixels, 3.5 inch Retina display with a glass, scratch resistant cover, is absolutely stunning too.
The larger, crisper screen of the Galaxy S gets our vote though.
Verdict: Samsung Galaxy S
Camera:
The Samsung Galaxy S features a 5-megapixel camera mounted on the back. There's no flash or an anti-shake filter, or video calling as there is on the iPhonr 4.
The Samsung's camera does allow for video recording in HD though, although we're not sure how handy it will be without a flash in low light conditions.
The Samsung Galaxy S also features a secondary camera on the front for making video calls.
Samsung's cameras traditionally produce stunning photos, so we can expect lots from the Galaxy S.
Along with the 5-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, the iPhone 4 packs in a VGA camera on the front to allow for self-potraits and FaceTime calls.
The more powerful camera on the rear even supports HD video recording, at a resolution of 720p at 30 frames per second.
We see the flash as an advantage here because it means the iPhone is prepared for any low-light situation.
Verdict: iPhone 4

Samsung M8800 screen freeze fix

Samsung M8800 faulty screen freeze fix

Problem: My phone freezes and I am not able to use any of the services. Sometimes its wrong icon responding. I cannot read my mail, open my phonebook or anything at all. What could be the problem and how do I solve the problem
Solution: Hello Guys. I have the same problem and I found out the solution. The problem is a faulty contact from the touchscreen leading to the phone board. To be short: on the right side of the phone were the volume buttons are, under the touchscreen is the screen's contact. Try "detaching the screens face a little from the phone body exactly at the volume down button(using ur fingernail or something) and see if the touchscreen is responding in anyway. My phone has a bad contact there, and in normal mode all is frozen. Now if I try to pull towards me, the touchscreen frame from the rest of the chassis, only a mm SURPRISE!! My touchscreen is working. IF this is your case too...I suggest get a screw-driver and open the chassis, and trying to make the connection permanent, somehow. I haven't done this yet, but will do it today. If anyone is interested I could post the results:) PS: you can send it back to warranty of a repair phone shop, only to force you to buy a new touchscreen and pay for the repairs, on a 99% working phone, with a faulty contact. The choice is yours:)

watch movies online free

the best website reccomended to wtch free movis online is: http://www.movies-links.tv/

More Website Content Increases Traffic

People typically visit the internet in search of information. They are looking for content that is relevant to their purpose. They typically are not looking for marketing ploys. There are a number of ways to increase this content, including having a search engine optimization company provide you with keyword rich articles, but there are three major reasons why more website content increases your website traffic.

The first reason more website content increases traffic is that content articles tend to be focused on a topic. This focus will then lead to the repeated use of a keyword or phrase. That repeated use leads to higher search engine rankings. Search engine rankings are the way returns come back to an internet user through a search engine. If someone searches for the term “dogs” they will come back with thousands of pages of results. The order those results are displayed on the screen depends on a number of factors including how frequently the term is mentioned on the site and where it is mentioned on the site.

Research shows that people tend only to click on the first ten results a search engine offers them. Increasing your website content will help you become one of those first ten websites. This means more people than you ever thought possible will be clicking on your site in no time simply based on your website ranking. Not only will you be closer to the top of the search engine with more content, you may also be indexed by more search engines. This could mean something like ninety percent of all internet users seeing your website in any one given internet session.

The second reason more website content increases traffic is a bit more complicated. If you have strong, well written content on your site, you increase your credibility with customers. Suddenly you are no longer a company selling homemade dog food; you are somebody who can offer knowledgeable advice about anything a responsible dog owner needs to know including house training, leash laws, and sleeping problems. This increase in credibility not only makes people believe what you have posted to your site, it also makes them want to stay at your site to read the rest of your content articles. The more content articles you have at your site, the longer they will stay. Keeping them there as long as possible is the key to selling your product to them. You have a much longer time frame in which to pitch your product and close the sale.

Not only will they stay at your site longer with more content, but this also means they may come back to your site the next time they log onto their machine. For example, if you are selling refilled printer ink cartridges, but you have content on your site related to all things printers, you have a good chance that someone might stay to look at a few of the articles. However, the next time they need digital photo printing tips, chances are good that they will remember what great content you offered them during their last internet session, and they will return directly to your site just to read more of your content. This means you have their complete, undivided attention for an even longer period of time. Moreover, if they are returning to your site on some sort of regular basis, chances are good that they will recommend the site to other users like friends and relatives which will mean even more traffic for your site.

The final way more website content increases your web traffic is that it increases the likelihood that advertisers and reciprocal link exchangers will be attracted to your site. Reciprocal links are exchanged by websites that have similar interests. The more relevant topics you are able to list, the more chances you have of someone with similar interests attempting to link to your site. This could greatly increase your website traffic because not only will people be able to find your site through search engines, they may also be able to find your site through other sites. Further, though, advertisers are looking for sites that encourage customers they want to do business with. More keywords will mean more customers for you which can mean more advertisers for you which can mean more profits and visibility for you.

No matter which reason you choose, more content will increase your website traffic. That can only mean good things in store for you and your website. You can have your content articles written for you or write them yourself. Whichever way you go, though, be sure they are well-written, as poorly written articles will do nothing to increase your website traffic.

5 Steps to Increase Traffic to your Website

If you are looking for methods to increase traffic to your website, you are not alone. This is one of the most searched phrases on the internet because merchants want to increase their profits by generating more customers.

Learn more great traffic tips here.

Step #1 - Content

Get more web traffic by supplying content that draws in your target market. If you have a website selling cosmetics, it will not help to post a blog about your family vacation. While your vacation may have been very interesting, you want to attract people interested in cosmetics. It would be better to take time to write clear and powerful product descriptions that actually make the reader smell the fragrances and visualize the brilliant colors of your lip gloss.

Step #2 - Information

Supply useful information. Many people do internet searches to find information. If you are an expert in the area they are searching, you will grab and hold their attention. If you are focusing on a professional group, use their terminology and provide enough data to completely answer all questions.

If you must hire an expert author, it will pay off because it may be the sole way to attract this audience to your site. Use a format that the group is comfortable with, such as articles or reports. If you are supplying information about a new medical procedure, be sure to include technical data that professionals would want to see. On the other hand, if you want to provide information to the general public, make it more understandable.

Exclude big, technical words and explain the basics without overwhelming the reader with what may seem like irrelevant information to them. Stick with facts about symptoms, side effects, or other information that they would be looking for.

Step #3 - SEO

SEO is a time-tested process for receiving a high ranking with search engines. By offering fresh content with targeted keywords, you will be able to earn a top spot with the search engines. This will direct people to your site very effectively.

Step #4 - Links

Links from other sites can increase web traffic and improve business. You can contact sites and set up an agreement for link trading. Numerous businesses, like yours, are seeking similar sites to link back to theirs. You have nothing to lose by contacting them. You can also attract links by providing web content that links back to your own site.

By using unique content on your site that is current or popular, you can sometimes persuade other sites to link to yours. By using current events, humor, or the newest data, you can attract searches to your site and increase links.

Step #5 - Printed Material

Make a point to include your website address on all correspondence, with any product packaging, on business cards, and in directories or phone books. Repeat sales are more likely if customers can find you again!

When you get serious about a process to increase traffic to your site, make sure that you have the required bandwidth to handle the change. It would be detrimental to increase your web traffic, only to cause your site to crash. Plan for the new visitors, and test numerous strategies for the best results.

Free Website Content – Increase Traffic

If you are a website owner, newsletter or ezine publisher, free article directories provides you with a dynamic resource of relevant, on the topic content that you can use free of charge for your website.

Just grab the articles you want to use, and use as you wish! The only catch usually is a little thing called a resource box. You must leave articles in their original state complete with the resource box providing credit to the author. These are usually 2-4 lines and a small price to pay considering they have spent a lot of time writing specific expert material around the topic you require.

Article submission directories usually have many different categories of content just waiting for you to uncover. Here are some ideas for using the content in various directories to benefit you:

- Repeat visitors and longer visitor sessions. Use the articles in article directories on your website to provide your website visitors with more useful original content and keep them coming back for more time and again.

- Increase traffic and Google Page Rank (PR) of your online website by increasing your websites content.

- Free content for your website saves you time and money. If you can't write, or have the time to write or don't have the budget to hire a writer or designer to produce the content you require then using free content for your website is ideal. Simply copy and paste free content from free article web sites and your done.

- Use articles in article directories on your blog to keep it your blog web site fresh and updated daily with great information.

eBay selling tips

5 eBay selling tips

The following 5 eBay selling tips have done good by me over the years whilst selling items on eBay and they’ve often contributed to me generating higher final selling prices on my eBay auctions.

1. Be as descriptive as possible
Ensure you give as much information as possible to potential buyers. Some eBayers will ask you questions if they don’t see the answers they crave but most won’t and that majority won’t bid on your item either. I often copy the sales copy from another seller’s item if I intend to sell a similar item – only if it has achieved the price that I want.

2. Keep the starting bid low & have no reserve
You may be nervous about this rule but it’s imperative that you get people bidding on your item as soon as possible. The higher the reserve/starting bid the less likely people are to bid. As soon as 1 person bids a £1 other people become convinced that this is a good item because someone else is interested enough to buy it.

Think of this analogy; You’re starving and there are two restaurants next to each other neither of which you’ve ate in before. Restaurant A is (comfortably) full of people whereas Restaurant B is empty. Which one are you going to choose to eat in?

3. Use as many (good) pictures as possible
People need to see what it is they’re buying to feel confident about buying it. They don’t want to make a mistake and be ripped off so if they can’t see good pictures they won’t bid. Take as many pictures from different angles as possible so yoru potential buyers are not left wondering if there’s something hidden they can’t see.

Also make sure you use pictures of the actual item you’ve take yourself. I’ve made the mistake before of using pictures from the manufacturer’s website and assumed that people would realise that my item was used and so would have some wear and tear – the didn’t and my mistake resulted in an unhappy buyer and a partial refund.

4. Make delivery as cheap as possible (if not free)
People hate to see those high delivery prices. Putting a high delivery cost on your item can push up your margin and it is tempting to imagine people are so stupid that they can’t calculate that with your heavily marked-up delivery price and the item’s listing value that they are being ripped off – but they can and do.

5. Make your auction end on Sunday night 8-9pm
Late Sunday night works for me – it may not be the optimal time but it is a time when people aren’t doing much; they’re practically sat at home waiting for Monday morning. Too many times, I’ve got bargains because people have set their auctions to end during business hours – when most people are banned from using eBay by their IT departments. Set your auction to end at a time when most people are at home and looking to buy, that way you’re more likely to get a bidding war at the end of your auction.

Top 10 Ways To Get Regular Traffic For Your Blog

Top 10 Ways To Get Regular Traffic For Your Blog

"Blogging is very easy but to make your blog worldwide popular is very tough but only you can make it easy by following these 10 ways.

1. Add fresh content
If you consistently add new content you will not only attract regular readers but also the search engines. Try to add new content to your blog at least 3 times a week.

2. Optimize your content
Make sure you optimize the titles, paragraphs and links within your content. This means you must first do keyword research to incorporate keywords related to your content.

3. Include keywords in your tags
WordPress allows you to include tags below each post. Place your most popular keywords in these tags separated by commas.

4. Add meta tags
Use the headspace or seopack plugin to add title and description meta tags to each post. Search engines place great emphasis on title tags that contain your keyword at the beginning.
The description meta tag is what visitors read about your site when they find it in the search engines. Make sure the description of your page will get the reader to click to your content.

5. Create internal links
An individual post won't get much traction in the search engines unless you get links pointing to it. If you have related content from other areas of your blog create a text link (anchor text) within that post that links to your current content. Your blog post ranking will increase in proportion to the number of links pointing to it.

6. Encourage commenting
Include questions within your content and encourage readers to leave a comment. This increases blog interactivity. Readers will see it's an active blog and will want to read the comments and provide their own feedback.

7. Leave comments on other blogs
Find blogs that have content related to your own and write a comment that compliments their post or is in response to others' comments. With each comment include a link back to your own blog.

8. Use trackbacks
A trackback is a procedure for notifying the original blog poster that you have linked to their blog post from your blog. Create lots of trackbacks to popular blog posts from your own blog. This will encourage those you trackback to do the same for you and will increase traffic to your site.

9. Submit to blog directories
Google "top directories to submit your blog" to get a free list of the top 100+ blog directories you can submit your blog to.

10. Submit RSS Feed to RSS Directories
To submit your blog or RSS feed to a list of RSS and blog directories, Google "top rank RSS blog directories."
